Job summary

Wipfli is seeking an experienced tax professional to join its partnership tax group in the United States. The role involves reviewing complex partnership returns, providing planning and compliance services, and guiding client engagements from kickoff to delivery.

You will lead teams, mentor staff, and develop tax strategies across industries while maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring deadlines are met. Travel up to 25% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and CPA required.

• 5+ years of progressive tax compliance or consulting in public accounting.

• Strong analytical, technical and tax accounting skills in partnership taxation.

• Proven ability to lead teams and manage client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate primary reviews of complex tax returns and provide tax consulting for partnership clients.
• Evaluate tax aspects of partnership agreements and manage IRC 704b accounts.

• Lead multiple client service teams; plan, execute, and complete tax projects across industries.

• Market, design, and implement tax-planning strategies for clients and manage to budget.

• Develop and mentor staff; conduct performance reviews.

• Research and consult on tax matters, primarily in Sub-chapter K-Partnership taxation; use tax-related software to prepare returns.

• Respond to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities.
