Job summary

Project Medtech in Northeast Ohio seeks a highly motivated Partnership, Sales, & Event Coordinator to secure sponsorships, coordinate events, and conduct market research within the medtech ecosystem. You will report to the Director of Marketing & Engagement and collaborate with internal teams.

Based in Broadview Heights with a 5 days/week on-site requirement, you will travel nationally for events (5-10%) and contribute to growth of groundbreaking medical devices that impact millions of lives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sales Communications, Business, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in sales, business development, and relationship building is required.
  • Experience in event planning, project management, and marketing is preferred.
  • Startup experience or medical technology exposure is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel nationally for events.

Responsibilities

  • Market Research & Intelligence: identify trends, map competition, target high-value clients.
  • Sponsorship Sales (New & Existing): pitch and secure sponsorships and renewals.
  • Sponsorship Success Management: onboarding, track deliverables, measure ROI.
  • Event Marketing & Operations Support: plan and execute events, manage vendors, coordinate content, on-site or virtual delivery.

General purpose:

Seeking a highly motivated and organized Partnership, Sales, & Event Coordinator for our growing marketing department. Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Engagement, thePartnership, Sales, & Event Coordinator is responsible for securing and managing sponsorship agreements, orchestrating high-impact events, and conducting detailed market research to identify strategic opportunities within the Medtech ecosystem. This role requires an understanding of the medical device landscape, excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Market Research & Intelligence: Perform in-depth market research across the Medtech ecosystem to uncover industry trends, map competitive dynamics, and identify high-value customer and client targets.
  • Sponsorship Sales (New & Existing): Prospect, pitch, and secure new media and event sponsorship agreements while nurturing relationships with current sponsors to drive renewals.
  • Sponsorship Success Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for sponsors, managing onboarding, tracking deliverable execution, verifying branding placements, and measuring sponsor ROI.
  • Event Marketing & Operations Support: Assist with the end-to-end execution of Project Medtech events and client-sponsored events, including operational planning, vendor management, content development, event coordination, and on-site or virtual delivery.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Understanding of/exposure to the medical device industry and/or previous experience working for a startup would be ideal, but is not required.
  • Proficiency in using various software tools, including Google Suite, MS Office Suite, and Canva.
  • Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Based in Northeast Ohio, with a willingness to be in the Broadview Heights based - office 5 days/week.
  • Ability to travel nationally for in-person events, 5 - 10%.
Experience, Education and/or Training:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sales Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Experience in sales, business development, relationship building is required.
  • Experience in event planning, project management, and marketing efforts would be preferred.
  • Previous experience in startups would be a plus (medical technology companies an even stronger plus).
