Job summary

Google is seeking a Partner Solutions Engineer for the Universal Commerce Protocol within gTech’s Professional Services. The role supports the API ecosystem for Shopping, focusing on Universal Commerce Protocol, Google Business Profile, and Google Merchant Center integrations that power Google Shopping and other surfaces.

The team collaborates with Product and Engineering to enhance features and tools, driven by data insights.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
6 years of experience with client-side web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HTTP).
6 years of experience coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python).
Experience troubleshooting technical issues for internal/external partners or customers.

Responsibilities

Provide high-touch technical guidance, troubleshooting, and documentation to ensure seamless partner integrations within SLAs.
Gather operational feedback to advocate for product enhancements, bug fixes, and feature improvements with Product and Engineering teams.
Work with Product and Partner Operations Managers to define, prioritize, and launch new features and internal tools.
Develop technical documentation and developer tools to streamline onboarding, improve product serviceability, and scale operations.
Perform implementation reviews and analyze partner data to identify, drive, and maximize growth opportunities using Google technologies.
