Position Summary

The Partner Recruiting and Integration Assistant provides day-to-day operational and coordination support to the Director and Senior Manager of Partner Recruiting and Integration. This role spans all phases of lateral partner recruiting and integration — from search efforts, candidate evaluation, and due diligence through stakeholder communication and structured integration programming that positions lateral partners for long-term success. The Assistant serves as the organizational backbone of the team, keeping workflows moving, data accurate, logistics seamless, and the candidate and new-partner experience consistently outstanding.

Responsibilities
Recruiting Coordination & Candidate Experience
  • Research and compile candidate profiles, practice group intelligence, and market data to support the evaluation of prospective lateral partner candidates and the identification of recruiting opportunities.
  • Cultivate familiarity with premier dining and meeting venues and make informed, context-driven recommendations that match the formality, confidentiality, and stature of each candidate interaction.
  • Coordinate interview schedules, collect interviewer evaluations, and greet and escort candidates to interviews, serving as the firm’s warm, professional first impression.
  • Support lateral partner recruiting for the New York and Washington, DC offices, and other locations as assigned, ensuring timely communication with candidates, recruiting agencies, and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain effective coordination with leadership and other stakeholders throughout each candidate’s process and provide regular status updates on progress, issues, and timing as directed.
Due Diligence & Compliance
  • Coordinate the due diligence process for all lateral partner candidates — including background, conflicts, and reference checks — partnering with relevant internal departments to ensure thorough evaluation and risk management.
Data, Systems & Reporting
  • Maintain candidate files, recruitment databases, and applicant tracking systems with precision, ensuring data integrity and best practices in candidate tracking.
  • Support the development and maintenance of recruiting dashboards, reporting metrics, and data-driven insights.
Integration Support & Partner Experience
  • Support the development, implementation, and refinement of integration programs, resources, and processes to ensure a seamless transition for newly arrived partners.
  • Manage timelines of key integration events and milestones, coordinating meetings and activities and preparing materials and resources in advance.
  • Help plan and facilitate introductions between lateral partners, firm leadership, other attorneys, and business services professionals to foster collaboration.
  • Coordinate travel and logistical arrangements for integration-related meetings and events as needed.
  • Help create and maintain internal databases, resources, and toolkits to facilitate partner integration, ensuring consistent and timely information capture.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Administration
  • Disseminate information regarding new partner hires to appropriate firm personnel.
  • Monitor and process invoices, expense reimbursements, and search firm fee agreements.
  • Foster effective work practices, teamwork, and respect for colleagues while serving as a brand ambassador for the Partner Recruiting and Integration team.
Education & Experience
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Experience: 1–3 years of professional experience in a coordination-intensive, people-facing role. Backgrounds in executing recruiting, marketing, hospitality, event management, client services, executive support, or similar environments are highly valued.
Skills & Abilities
  • Exceptional Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities and timelines. Keep track of the details so nothing falls through the cracks.
  • People-First Mindset: Superior interpersonal and communication skills across all levels of the firm, with sound judgment and a customer-service orientation. Make people feel valued, whether it’s a senior partner or an outside agency contact.
  • Tech-Savvy & Data-Curious: Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with recruiting technologies. Comfort learning new platforms quickly — applicant tracking systems, project management tools, and data dashboards.
  • Discretion & Professionalism: Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information with appropriate discretion.
  • Team Player with Initiative: Team-oriented with a customer-service focus. Anticipate what’s needed and step in.
  • Collaborative & Adaptable: Ability to quickly learn firm-specific systems, policies, and culture.
  • Commitment to Inclusion: Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
  • Proactive interest in maintaining up-to-date knowledge of market trends and best practices.
