Ascend Disability Lawyers is seeking an experienced hearing attorney to join our SSD practice. You will become a central part of our team, representing clients before Administrative Law Judges across the country and guiding them through hearings with persuasive advocacy and strong briefs.

The role emphasizes developing legal theories, reviewing medical evidence, and drafting pre-hearing and Appeals Council briefs, while mentoring staff and expanding the firm’s reach.

Qualifications

• Licensed attorney with experience before Administrative Law Judges (ALJs).
• Strong advocacy skills with the ability to develop persuasive legal theories.
• Experience representing SSDI/SSI clients a plus.
• Comfort working in a fast-growing SSD practice and collaborating with a team.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients before Administrative Law Judges nationwide.
• Prepare clients for hearings and develop case strategy.
• Draft persuasive pre-hearing and Appeals Council briefs.
• Review medical and vocational evidence to support hearings.
• Mentor and train junior staff and case managers.
