Job summary

Upgrade is seeking a Partner Integrations Lead for the Home Improvement platform. You will own partner onboarding initiatives, manage integration pipelines, and coordinate with Sales, Product, Account Management, and Engineering to deliver reliable API integrations across the loan application lifecycle.

This hybrid role is based at our SF or Atlanta offices with regular onsite days. You will act as the technical SME for all API integration points, lead cross-functional projects, triage

Qualifications

• 6-7+ years of experience in integrations, engineering, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, JSON/XML payloads, and authentication patterns (OAuth/API keys).
• Experience leading cross-functional partner integrations and technical projects.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive partner onboarding initiatives and API integrations across the loan application lifecycle.
• Manage integration pipelines, triage production issues, and coordinate with Sales, Product, Account Management, and Engineering.
• Lead cross-functional communication to align on integration priorities and deliverables; create and maintain documentation for ongoing integrations.
• Triage inbound defect reports, reproduce in staging, and document root-cause hypotheses with supporting data.
• Act as technical SME for Home Improvement API integration points and partner-facing interactions.

Job description

• Upgrade is looking for a Partner Integrations Lead for our Home Improvement product platform. In this pivotal role, you’ll own and drive key partner onboarding initiatives, shaping seamless API integrations across the entire loan application and origination lifecycle
• You’ll be responsible for serving as the primary product SME, managing integration pipelines, triaging production issues, and collaborating with Sales, Product, Account Management, and Engineering to deliver impactful, reliable outcomes
• Please note that this is a role in a hybrid capacity based in our office in SF or Atlanta, with regular onsite work days
• Act as main point of contact and partner-facing subject matter expert on the Home Improvement product platform (particularly all API integration points) and the Home Improvement business & operation
• Manage integrations with new partners and new product rollouts for existing partners. Responsibilities include helping define how partner platforms will interact with Upgrade through the loan application and origination processes; creating documentation and project management deliverables to track ongoing integrations; troubleshooting with partners as needed during both QA/UAT and post-live project phases
• Lead and facilitate cross functional communication to ensure internal alignment and prioritization of Partner integration projects and ongoing requests
• Lead technical response for production incidents related to Home Improvement integrations, coordinating internal and external teams
• Triage inbound defect reports by severity, reproduce issues in staging environments, and document root-cause hypotheses with supporting log evidence
