Job summary

The Akron, OH office of Lewis Brisbois is seeking a seasoned Partner-level Insurance Coverage Attorney focusing on first-party commercial property. A portable book of business is not required as the incoming partner will join an established, high-volume practice.

This national Insurance Coverage Practice interprets contracts and represents insurers in complex coverage claims nationwide, with exposure to mediations, arbitrations, and declaratory relief in state and federal courts.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of dedicated insurance coverage experience with emphasis on first-party commercial property.
• Partner-level capabilities with ability to independently manage a complex caseload.
• Active Ohio bar in good standing; multi-state admissions a plus.

Responsibilities

• National Practice Management: lead and manage first-party property matters on a national scale.
• Evaluate high-value commercial property losses, including large fire losses and business interruption.
• Oversee arson and fraud investigations and conduct EUOs of insureds and witnesses.
• Drive coverage litigation from inception through trial for carriers.
