Position Summary

The Partner Development Representative is responsible for identifying, prospecting, signing, and onboarding business partners that make sense for our business. This position also manages the relationships, enables and trains partners, and coordinates with internal teams to enable partners to sell or refer Secur-Serv products and services to their clients. This position will focus on new partner acquisition approximately 75% of the time.

This is a remote, work-from-home position, and all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply in the continental U.S., with the exception of candidates from Colorado, California, Washington, Maryland, Hawaii, and New York.

  • Own the strategy, execution, and growth of Secur-Serv’s Partner program
  • Identify, recruit, and onboard new partners to expand Secur-Serv’s reach into untapped markets
  • Identify and prospect key alliance partners that will benefit from providing their customers with Secur-Serv product offerings.
  • Conduct deep discovery to understand the partners’ organizational structure, goals and objectives as well as motivators for partner personnel.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of your partner’s business and operations.
  • Coordinate signing and finalization of Partner Agreements.
  • Conduct initial onboarding with assigned partners.
  • Collaborate with partners to develop mutually beneficial, strategic business plans to achieve targets.
  • Enable partners to equip them with positioning, product knowledge, marketing best practices and demand generation tools.
  • Engage partner leadership to gain executive buy-in and commitment.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with various stakeholders and teams at partner organizations.
  • Coordinate and collaborate on joint marketing efforts to build pipeline, where applicable
  • Monitor partner performance and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Meet and exceed assigned targets for monthly sales volume requirements and objectives in assigned partner accounts and maintain pipeline that aligns with goals/accurate forecasting.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough records in HubSpot.
  • Ensure partner compliance with partner agreements.
  • Set clear expectations with partners so that they understand rules of engagement, best practices and overall expectations of the partnership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
  • Minimum of 3 years IT Partner new business development experience
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing sales proposals.
  • Demonstrated negotiation experience in a sales environment.
  • Familiarity with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the IT Security Field
  • Must be able to demonstrate sales aptitude while being assertive, persistent, consultative, and comfortable working in a highly results oriented company.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong collaborative and teamwork skills.
  • Persuasive communication skills accompanied with the ability to gain a quick understanding of the needs and pain points of partners.
  • Valid and current driver’s license.
  • MS Office.
  • Ability to travel overnight a minimum of 1-2 days per month.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Previous experience selling managed technology services
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity field
  • Experience in a Remote work environment.
