Fordham University seeks three Participant Success Navigators for the Bronx Green Jobs Center (BGJC) to support onboarding and ongoing trainee success. The role involves intake, initial assessments, and connecting participants to vital services to complete training programs.
The position emphasizes trauma-informed practice, strong communication, and collaboration with BGJC partners. Graduate students from Fordham GSSW are encouraged to apply.
Founded in 1841, Fordham is the Jesuit University of New York, offering an exceptional education distinguished by the Jesuit tradition to more than 16,000 students in its nine colleges and schools. It has residential campuses in the Bronx and Manhattan, a campus in West Harrison, N.Y., the Louis Calder Center Biological Field Station in Armonk, N.Y., and the London Centre in the United Kingdom.
Successful candidates should have a knowledge of and commitment to the goals of Jesuit Education.
Reporting directly to the Intake and Enrollment Coordinator, Participant Success Navigators will serve as key direct-service points of contact for community members entering BGJC programs. Participant Success Navigators will support candidate recruitment, conduct initial intakes and barrier assessments, and manage ongoing case management support to ensure trainees are connected with critical wraparound resources to complete their training successfully.
BGJC seeks three highly motivated, compassionate, and detail-oriented Participant Success Navigators to support the onboarding and ongoing success of trainees. Graduate students from Fordham’s Graduate School of Social Work ( GSSW ) are strongly encouraged to apply as case management, individual assessment, and trauma-informed support are foundational elements of this role.
About the Bronx Green Jobs Center The Bronx Green Jobs Center ( BGJC ) is a transformative collaboration led by Fordham University with the community to prepare individuals for careers in New York’s rapidly growing green economy. Our mission is to empower individuals from underserved communities — such as young adults and formerly incarcerated individuals — by providing the technical training, resources, and wraparound services necessary for them to pursue and launch sustainable careers. Opening in early 2027 at 585 East Fordham Road, BGJC’s collaborative structure includes other institutions of higher education, K-12 schools, community-based organizations, and industry/employer partners. BGJC is designed to provide trainees from the community access to specialized career-ready microcredential programs in high-demand fields such as solar/PV panel install and repair, urban agriculture, electric vehicle (EV) charger installation, energy efficiency, and more. In addition to technical training, participants will receive the “soft” and durable skill development necessary to help them compete in the modern workforce.
