YMCA of Central Ohio is seeking a part-time Group Fitness Instructor in Powell, OH. You will design and deliver class routines, engage members to achieve healthy living goals, and maintain a safe, energetic group environment.

Responsibilities include ensuring sessions start and end on time, managing equipment, and keeping certifications current. Flexibility in scheduling and strong customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• Passionate belief in the Y’s cause of nurturing youth potential and healthy living.
• Ability to relate to diverse groups in the community.
• Current NCCA Group Fitness Certification (ACE, NETA, or AFAA) and Specialty/Trademarked Certification by hire; CPR/First Aid & AED within 30 days.
• Keep certifications current and in good standing.
• Outgoing personality with strong customer service and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, prepare and deliver class routines per supervisor guidance and safety guidelines.
• Instruct safe, effective group exercise classes and engage members toward wellness goals.
• Maintain attendance, target 60% participation, and secure substitutes when needed.
• Set up equipment, keep area clean, and participate in outreach as directed by supervisor.
