Job summary

Lake Community YMCA in Ohio is seeking part-time Group Exercise Instructors to lead a variety of weekday morning classes, such as Pilates, Yoga, and Parkinson's. Training and certifications are provided by the YMCA.

Instructors greet members, design class formats, serve as role models, and collaborate with the team, using YMCA values to address challenging situations.

This role offers flexible weekend options and an opportunity to develop fitness skills in a welcoming community setting.

Qualifications

• Dynamic interpersonal skills and excellent communication are required.
• CPR and AED certification preferred, but will be provided by the YMCA.
• Certification from a nationally-recognized fitness accreditation agency is required.

Responsibilities

• Meet and greet the members with enthusiasm.
• Design class formats appropriate for type of class and participants.
• Serve as a good role model.
• Communicate with team members.
• Address difficult situations by using the YMCA Character Values as a guide.
