Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Erie is seeking a part-time Program Coordinator to oversee youth, adult and family programs, including sports in partnership with United Way. You will organize program registration, deliver classes and activities, and help ensure a safe, welcoming experience for all participants.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma and/or Bachelor's Degree in physical education, recreation management or two years related experience.
• Certifications: First Aid, CPR, and AED (within 30 days of hire) and other YMCA instructional areas (within first year)
• New Employee Orientation - YUSA, Mandated Reporter, and child abuse prevention training within 60 days of hire date
• Clearance - Act 33, Act 34, FBI
• Ability to maintain and demonstrate certification-level physical and mental readiness in accordance with YMCA Standards.
• Must have strong people skills and the ability to work well with members, staff, and volunteers in a friendly, courteous, cooperation and professional manner.
• Possess mature judgement and sound decision-making.
• Possesses organizational skills, prioritizing abilities, human relation skills, and must have good communication skills-verbal, written, and phone.
• Literate and proficient in PC, MS Office applications (Excel, Word,).
• Some travel is required
• Love for sports

Responsibilities
