Job summary

BGCCF is seeking a Youth Sports Official (Referee) for part-time, seasonal work across Central Florida. You will officiate basketball, soccer, flag football, and volleyball, enforcing rules and promoting safety and fair play.

Applicants must be 18+, high school diploma or GED, and able to travel between sites; CPR/First Aid and background checks are required. Join a mission-driven team that supports youth development.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to officiate youth sports with knowledge of game rules and fair play principles.
• Strong communication skills for managing coaches, players, and parents.

Responsibilities

• Officiate assigned games as referee, umpire, or judge across basketball, soccer, flag football, and volleyball.
• Explain calls clearly to coaches and players; maintain safety and positive game environment.
• Complete pre-game safety checks, score sheets, and incident reports with accuracy.
• Mentor junior officials when assigned and uphold BGCCF policies and procedures.
