RTS is seeking a Group Leader to work with participants and foster a positive community culture at PS 532, Brooklyn. You will supervise activities, support teachers, and help deliver engaging academic and recreational programs for youth.

The role emphasizes positive youth development, safety, and teamwork. Hiring is through the Program Director, with required 1 year of youth experience and willingness to work part-time on school days and full-time on non-school days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Ability to lead and participate in group sports and recreation.
• Effective communication with all community members and positive conflict resolution.

Responsibilities

• Supervise participant activities and enforce policies during program operation.
• Facilitate lessons/activities and maintain a safe, organized space.
• Plan engaging activities across literacy, STEM, arts, and team building.
• Develop positive youth relationships and act as a role model.
• Participate in training and apply skills to improve program quality.
• Follow site procedures and report incidents to supervisors.
