Job summary

Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows in Ely, NV seeks a Youth Development Professional for a part-time role, with hours from 12:00pm to 6:00pm at White Pine High School. You will guide children through activities, mentoring, and field trips, fostering a safe and engaging environment.

The role offers tuition reimbursement, a free mental health program, PTO, and a starting wage of $14.50 per hour, with opportunities to build skills in education and childcare while making a positive community

Qualifications

You are a fun, energetic, and excited individual.
You want to pursue a career in education and childcare, such as HDFS, CDA, Education, Counseling, etc.
You have a passion for building a better community.
You have experience working with, teaching, nurturing, and/or mentoring children.
You have the ability to communicate and cooperate with children, other staff, and parents.
Minimum of 21 years or older.

Responsibilities

As a counselor, you'll be responsible for creating a safe and engaging environment for children, planning and leading activities, and serving as a positive role model and mentor.
You'll also have the chance to take the kids on exciting field trips, exploring the community, and introducing them to new experiences.
