Job summary

Envision Radiology is seeking a part-time X-Ray Technologist to join our outpatient imaging team in Sunnyvale, TX. You will perform diagnostic X-Ray procedures, adjust equipment, position patients and assist physicians with contrast media as needed.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in X-Ray, ARRT certification, and a state license, with strong communication and teamwork. This role offers evening hours Monday–Friday 4:00 PM–8:00 PM and rotating Saturdays 8:00 AM–2:00 PM, with a competitive pay

Qualifications

• Two plus years’ experience in X-Ray.
• Educate patients on procedures being performed.
• Detail oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver and a team player.
• Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately.
• Ability to excel in a very fast-pace team environment.
• Strong communication skills & professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Interfaces with patient to ascertain medical history and provides instructions and explanation of the procedure and/or exam to obtain the best possible image.
• Reviews patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent.
• Obtains prior films/exams as needed and performs high quality scans to submit to the Radiologist for interpretation.
• Performs exams while attending to patient’s care before, during and following exam and notifies the appropriate party if patient’s condition changes at any time.
• Transfers images to other locations as needed.
• Coordinates scan protocols with Radiologist.
• Maintains and regularly inspects equipment and immediately reports any quality concerns as well as equipment failures or deficiencies.
• Interfaces with Lead Technologist & Center/Area Manager regarding any and all departmental concerns.
• Other duties as assigned.
