Job summary

North Star Diagnostic Imaging is seeking a compassionate X-Ray Technologist to join our outpatient imaging center in Denton, Texas. This part-time role offers 1-2 days per week with weekday hours, no weekends, and the opportunity to cross-train into CT or MRI for career growth.

You will perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray examinations, ensure patient comfort, collate orders, and maintain accurate records in RIS/PACS/EMR while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Current Texas MRT General certification (Limited and Non-Certified not applicable).
• ARRT (R) certification.
• Current CPR certification preferred.
• Excellent patient care and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray examinations according to established protocols.
• Verify patient identity, review orders, and obtain patient history.
• Prepare and position patients for comfort, safety and image quality.
• Educate patients about their exam and answer questions.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation in RIS/PACS and EMR.
• Perform daily quality control and ensure equipment safety and efficiency.
• Adhere to radiation safety, infection control, HIPAA, OSHA, and procedures.
• Collaborate with radiologists, referring providers, and team members.
• Participate in continuing education and maintain competency.
• Cross-train into CT or MRI as opportunities become available.
• Assist with departmental workflow and other duties.

Position Summary

North Star Diagnostic Imaging is seeking a compassionate, patient-focused X-Ray Technologist to join our team in Denton, Texas. This is a full-time opportunity in a busy outpatient imaging center where you'll perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray examinations while providing exceptional patient care. This position also offers an excellent opportunity to cross-train into CT or MRI for motivated candidates looking to expand their skills.

Schedule

• Part-time
• 1-2 days per week, Monday - Friday
• 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• No weekends or on-call

Requirements

• Current Texas Medical Board (MRT)General certification (Limited and Non-Certified not applicable)
• ARRT (R) certification
• Current CPR certification (preferred)
• Excellent patient care and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
