Job summary
Southcentral KY Community & Technical College is seeking a Part-Time Writing Tutor to support students in developing writing skills across subjects. This on-site role offers 10-20 hours weekly and involves one-on-one or small group tutoring, in-person or virtual, to reinforce writing strategies and confidence.
Reporting to the Tutor Coordinator, you will participate in trainings, log appointments, and engage in outreach to promote student success.
Qualifications
- Must have high grades in ENG 101 and ENG 102.
- Must have completed 12+ college credits with a 3.0+ GPA.
- Strong writing skills and reliability for tutoring sessions.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring in writing.
- Help students plan, draft, revise, and edit assignments.
- Tutor on-site or virtually; maintain welcoming environment.
- Attend trainings and log tutoring appointments in Starfish; assist with outreach.
