Job summary

CareMed Health Solutions seeks a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to provide wound management for residents in long‑term care facilities in Arkansas. You will diagnose, treat, and coordinate wound care plans, and collaborate with physicians and facility staff to optimize patient outcomes.

Active AR NP license, board certification, and experience with chronic wounds, wound VACs, and EMR systems are required. Familiarity with arterial/venous/diabetic wounds and NPIAP pressure injury staging is

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted NP license in the state of Arkansas.
• Board Certification.
• DEA licensure (Optional).
• Clinical background in adult, family, or geriatric specialties.
• Clinical background of wound care; including but not limited to chronic, debilitating, stalled, or infected wounds
• Must be comfortable with diagnosing and treating diabetic, arterial, venous, and mixed etiology wounds or Kennedy Ulcers.
• Must be comfortable staging pressure injuries according to the NPIAP
• Must be familiar with wound care best practice and advanced wound care products; collagens, alginates, foams, silvers, etc.
• Must have experience with wound vacs and other DME, such as pressure relieving/ reducing devices
• Strong preference to having wound certification or be open to getting certified
• Experience working in a long-term care setting.
• Ability to work with an EMR.
• Ability to work within an interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient care.

Responsibilities

• Order, review, and/or follow-up with treatments and diagnostic testing.
