Job summary

CareMed Health Solutions seeks a Wound NP to provide specialized wound care in long-term care facilities in Arkansas. You will diagnose, treat, and manage wounds and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.

Required are AR NP licensure, board certification, and wound-care experience. DEA license is optional; experience with wound vacs and DME is favored. EMR proficiency and long-term care exposure are essential.

Qualifications

  • Current, unrestricted NP license in the state of Arkansas.
  • Board Certification.
  • DEA licensure (Optional).
  • Clinical background in adult, family, or geriatric specialties.
  • Clinical background of wound care; including but not limited to chronic, debilitating, stalled, or infected wounds.
  • Must be comfortable with diagnosing and treating diabetic, arterial, venous, and mixed etiology wounds or Kennedy Ulcers.
  • Must be comfortable staging pressure injuries according to the NPIAP.
  • Must be familiar with wound care best practice and advanced wound care products; collagens, alginates, foams, silvers, etc.
  • Must have experience with wound vacs and other DME, such as pressure relieving/ reducing devices.
  • Strong preference to having wound certification or be open to getting certified.
  • Experience working in a long-term care setting.
  • Ability to work with an EMR.
  • Ability to work within an interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient care.

While an interdisciplinary care team provides medical care to patients in long-term care facilities, you will have the opportunity to impact in a positive way the life and wellbeing of the elderly population. We are currently seeking Wound Care Nurse Practitioners to provide wound services to patients living in long-term care facilities.
