Job summary

Marketplace Chaplains seeks part-time chaplains to serve employees and their families, delivering confidential pastoral care across client worksites in Duncan, OK. You will travel to sites regularly, offer spiritual guidance, and coordinate referrals for additional support as needed.

Role requires strong communication, empathy, and ability to work within an interfaith setting. Prior chaplain experience and a valid driver’s license are preferred; background checks will be conducted.

• Demonstrates spiritual maturity, Christian lifestyle, and adherence to ministry values.
• Diplomacy, patience, and courtesy when dealing with diverse groups and sensitive issues.
• Excellent oral and written communication; maintain emotional stability in emergencies and grief.
• Ability to analyze information, identify solutions, and interpret policies and procedures.
• Proficient with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and web-based apps; quick to learn new tech.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a messenger of faith, mission, and purpose.
• Interact with employees and community with professional character and spiritual discipline.
• Conduct regular brief visits to client worksites to build trust and relationships.
• Provide confidential pastoral discussions for personal issues; coordinate referrals for specialized help.
• Assist in planning or attending funerals; provide follow-up support to families.
• Provide post-termination care to facilitate transition for affected employees.
• Support spiritual enrichment activities as appropriate and employee-led when beneficial.
• Distribute literature and resources to assist employees with life issues.
• Represent company to clients when ministry services are involved.
• Participate in new employee orientation to explain Employee Care Services.
