Job summary

Jefferson Center for Mental Health in Denver seeks a part-time weekend clinician for its Children's Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU). The role provides brief 3-5 day crisis stabilization for children and youth with behavioral health issues, coordinating treatment, discharge planning, and community referrals within a supportive, inclusive environment.

Required master’s degree in mental health, clinical license preferred, experience with youth, and skills in family therapy, crisis intervention,

Qualifications

• Conferred Master’s degree in a mental health or related field.
• Clinical license preferred (LPC, LCSW, LMFT or Licensed Psychologist).
• Experience working with children/youth and families.

Responsibilities

• Meet with assigned children/youth, conduct clinical interviews, and set up initial staffing.
• Maintain caseload and oversee treatment services per plan.
• Coordinate discharge planning and transition to community resources.
• Conduct individual, family, and group therapy; co-facilitate multi-family groups.
• Coordinate with case managers, referring agencies, families, and professionals.
• Maintain timely documentation including admission, progress, and discharge notes.
• Follow Jefferson Center policies and ensure compliance with licensure and standards.
