Job summary

BayMark Health Services, through Health Care Resource Centers, is seeking a compassionate weekend Substance Use Counselor in Chicopee, MA. This part-time role offers a stable schedule (8:00am–4:00pm) and a flexible, work-life friendly environment within an outpatient setting.

You will conduct individual and group counseling, assist with crisis management, and help develop treatment and aftercare plans, coordinating with clinicians to support opioid use disorder recovery and patient progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with at least 1 year of individual counseling experience.
• Master’s Degree in Behavioral Science with at least 1 year of individual counseling experience.
• Associate’s Degree or High School Diploma with a current CAC/CADC certification and 1 year of supervision.

Responsibilities

• Conducts initial assessment and eligibility interviews.
• Facilitates initial treatment plan development and review with each patient.
• Completes Bio-psychosocial assessment.
• Provide individual and group counseling; coordinate services across treatment.
• Involve families in the recovery process when possible.
• Respond to patient grievances and complaints.
• Develop aftercare and discharge plans.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
