Job description

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Malvern, PA is hiring an Overnight Part-Time Weekend Veterinary Technician to work in our Emergency department.

Schedule: Saturday 7pm-7am.

Pay: $21.00 - $43.00 / hour. The pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through our competency leveling system. We also offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked for nights and weekends. Shift differentials are based on a 4‑hour minimum. For example:

• Mon – Fri: 6pm to 8am = $3.50 shift differential
• Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = $5.00 shift differential
• Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = $3.50 shift differential

Responsibilities

• Triage and obtain patient history
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR
• Place IVCs and advanced catheters such as jugular catheters, central lines or PICC lines
• Monitor and care for ventilator cases
• Work alongside other skilled technicians and assistants in providing advanced medicine to patients
• Mentor and train other co‑workers
• Feel gratification of nursing critically ill patients back to health and reuniting them with their pet parents
