Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Langhorne, PA is hiring a Veterinary Technician to join our Emergency department. This full-time ER role offers Wednesday-Saturday or Thursday-Saturday shifts, with a sign-on bonus up to $5,000 for qualified LVT, CVT, RVT, LVMT, or VTS and pay ranging from $21.00 to $43.00 per hour.

Anesthesia training is preferred. Responsibilities include triage, obtaining patient history, starting CPR when needed, placing IV/central lines, monitoring ventilator cases, and mentoring

Qualifications

• LVT/CVT/RVT/LVMT/VTS or equivalent credentials required or preferred.
• Full-time position requiring night/weekend/holiday flexibility.
• Anesthesia training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Triage and obtain patient history.
• Identify patients at risk and initiate CPR when needed.
• Place IV catheters and advanced access lines.
• Monitor and care for ventilator cases.
• Collaborate with technicians and assistants to deliver advanced veterinary care.
• Mentor and train co-workers in emergency procedures.
• Support pet parents by guiding them through critical care and recovery.

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Langhorne, PA is hiring a Veterinary Technician to work in our Emergency department!

Shift options include Wednesday-Saturday (4×10‑hour shifts) or Thursday-Saturday (3×12‑hour shifts).

Sign-on bonus up to $5,000 for qualified LVT, CVT, RVT, LVMT, or VTS!

Pay: $21.00 - $43.00 / hour

This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through our competency leveling system.

We also offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked for nights and weekends. Shift differentials are based on a 4-hour minimum. For example:

• Mon - Fri: 6pm to 8am = $3.50 Shift Differential
• Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = $5.00 Shift Differential
• Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = $3.50 Shift Differential

As a n ER Technician, you will:

• Triage and obtain patient history
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR
• Place IVC's and advanced catheters like Jugular catheters, Central Lines or PICC lines.
• Monitor and care for Ventilator Cases
• Work along side other skilled technicians and assistants in providing excellent, advanced medicine to your patients
• Have a passion for mentoring and training other co-workers.
• Feel gratification of nursing critically ill patients back to health and reunite them with their pet parents
