Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a Part-time Weekend MRI Technologist I for MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. Shifts are Saturdays and Sundays, 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., every other weekend. The technologist will perform routine MRI imaging and ensure patient safety and comfort.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required.
• Certificate in radiologic technology or MRI from an accredited program required.
• ARMRIT and/or ARRT MRI certification within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations across diverse patient populations with proper factors and protocols.
• Screen and prepare patients; verify orders; administer contrast and establish IV access.
• Maintain MRI safety standards and follow institutional protocols and guidelines.
• Conduct quality assurance; monitor equipment; manage supplies; report malfunctions.
• Coordinate patient flow with interdisciplinary teams; document in EHR; ensure timely image transfer to PACS.
