Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a Part-time Weekend MRI Technologist I to join our team at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. Shifts are Saturdays and Sundays, every other weekend from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm.

Under general supervision, you will perform routine and specialized MRI imaging procedures, screen patients, prepare for protocols, ensure safety, and document in the EHR. An Associate’s degree and MRI/certification are required, with CPR and ARMRIT/ARRT credentials within 1 year.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree is required.
• Certificate in radiologic technology or MRI from an accredited program is required.
• MRI certificate or cross-training in MRI recommended; prior MRI experience not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized MRI imaging procedures.
• Screen and prepare patients, verify orders, and provide patient education and support.
• Maintain MRI safety standards and follow regulatory guidelines.
• Perform quality assurance, monitor equipment, and participate in performance improvement.
• Coordinate patient flow, document procedures in the EHR, and transmit images to PACS.
