The Daily Wire is seeking an experienced Weekend News Editor to lead our newsroom's weekend editorial coverage. You will oversee breaking news and planned coverage, mentor reporters, prioritize stories, and ensure all content is timely, accurate, and aligned with our standards and mission.

Reporting to the Managing Editor, you'll oversee breaking news and planned coverage, manage and mentor reporters, prioritize stories, and ensure every piece is timely, accurate, and aligned with The Daily Wire's editorial standards and mission. As the primary editorial decision-maker during weekend coverage, you'll play a critical role in maintaining the speed, quality, and consistency our audience expects while guiding coverage of the day's most important stories.

Requirements & Experience

• Background in Journalism, Communications, Political Science, or related field preferred.
• Strong editorial judgment in news journalism
• Exceptional editing and fact-checking skills
• Ability to lead newsroom coverage with limited resources
• Deep understanding of news cycles, politics, and current events
• Ability to make sound decisions under deadline pressure
