Job summary

Houston Community College is seeking a web designer/content manager to design and maintain the college website and campus information network content. You will work with the Public Relations team to ensure engaging digital communications and up-to-date multimedia assets.

The role requires an associate degree related to web multimedia and 3 years of web graphic design experience, with a portfolio required at interview.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in web-based multimedia, graphic arts, digital communications, or related field.
• 4 years directly-related work experience may substitute for the degree.
• 3 years web graphic design experience required.
• Experience in higher education preferred; community college or health care experience favored.
• Experience supporting hardware and software in PC and Macintosh environments.
• Portfolio sample required at interview.

Responsibilities

• Design and construct web pages/sites including GUI involvement.
• Maintain and provide ongoing design of the website.
• Manage content for campus information network including interior flat panels and exterior LED display.
• Maintain a file or database of graphic images, clip art, audio and video files, typefaces, and animations for departmental use.
