Job summary

Phigenics is seeking a part-time field technician to perform on-site water readings and sample collection in the Fargo, ND area. The role requires 10-20 hours per month during normal business hours, with occasional travel within a 100-mile radius.

Training will be provided to operate measurement instruments and prepare samples for lab analysis. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, communicates well, and can work independently.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or GED; chemistry/biology coursework a plus.
• Must have valid driver's license with 2+ years driving record.
• Willingness to travel within 100 miles as needed.
• Flexible schedule: 10–20 hours per month during business hours.

Responsibilities

Job description

Phigenics is seeking a candidate with a flexible schedule who is interested in working 10-20 hours on average per month, DURING NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS, in the Fargo, ND area. We will train the right person to take on-site readings via a testing instrument (i.e., chlorine, temperature, and pH readings) and collect building water samples to be sent to a lab for cultures. Travel within a 100-mile radius is expected on occasion.

The position requires self-motivation and the capacity to work independently. Must have excellent communication abilities and basic computer skills. The job often requires a great deal of walking around client sites, may include climbing stairs or ladders, and may require lifting up to 25 pounds. Once fully trained, the employee may be expected to mentor or train peers to ensure consistent knowledge sharing and team development.

High School Diploma or GED required. Some college courses in Chemistry or Biology are a plus.
