Job summary

The City of Arlington is seeking a part-time Water Safety Instructor to provide swim instruction for youth and adults. Under general supervision, you will create lesson plans and teach water safety skills based on established curriculum standards from the American Red Cross.

This role requires strong customer service skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You must hold or obtain a Water Safety Instructor certification within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• Must possess or obtain certification as a Red Cross Water Safety Instructor or Basic Swim Instructor within six months of hire.
• Must be able to complete certification requirements for CPR/First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Provide learn-to-swim instruction in group or one-on-one format.
• Create lesson plans and maintain a safe learning environment.
• Assess participant skill levels and track progress.
