Job summary

Aqua-Tots Swim School in Plano, TX is seeking a Water Safety Instructor to teach life-saving swim lessons to children using the Aqua-Tots curriculum. This part-time role offers flexible afternoon/evening and weekend scheduling, with a supportive team and a mission-driven culture.

Qualifications

• Ability to work at least two shifts per week.
• Comfortable in the water and able to swim.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive, energetic, and patient attitude.
• Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn.
• Experience working with children or aquatics experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach life-saving swim lessons using the Aqua-Tots curriculum for all ages and skill levels.
• Maintain constant awareness of pool safety and follow all safety procedures.
• Build relationships with families and provide updates on student progress.
• Educate and confidently explain curriculum, progression, and next steps to parents.
• Maintain pool readiness by checking chemicals and keeping the area clean and safe.
• Assist with cleaning tasks including pool deck, windows, and showers.
• Complete Aqua-Cards accurately at the end of each shift.
• Attend trainings and staff meetings to support team goals.
