Job summary

Aqua-Tots Swim Schools is hiring a Water Safety Instructor to teach our Learn to Swim program to individuals of all ages and skill levels. The role focuses on safety in the pool and building confident, lifelong swimmers.

This part-time, hourly position requires flexibility with days and hours per season and involves supporting families, maintaining the pool area, and following Aqua-Tots curricula and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Available to work two shifts per week.
• Capable of swimming.

Responsibilities

• Uphold Aqua-Tots core values.
• Teach in accordance with the Aqua-Tots curriculum.
• Build relationships with the families.
• Be knowledgeable of and respond to parent questions regarding progression and curriculum.
• Check pool chemicals and maintain the chemical log.
• Maintain the organization of the pool area.
• Assist in the cleaning of the pool environment (windows, showers, deck, etc.).
• Complete Aqua-Cards at the end of each shift.
• Understand and uphold our Minor In-Water Incident procedures.
• Report any aquatic customer concerns to the Lead on Duty.
• Attend staff meetings and in-servicetraining.
• Carry out any other tasks to support team objectives that are assigned by your lead as required
