Job summary

The City of Henderson is seeking a part-time Utility Maintenance Aide in Water Operations to assist with maintenance and repair of water facilities. The role requires basic maintenance experience, a high school diploma, and OSHA/Forklift credentials within specified timelines.

Work may include evenings, weekends, and holidays; flexibility is possible. Salary discussions occur at appointment with benefits limited to PERS eligibility.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or the equivalent.
• One (1) year of full-time work experience in the maintenance of mechanical equipment, pumps, valves, piping, and/or buildings.
• Note: An equivalent combination of related education, experience, and training may be considered.
• Must obtain and maintain the appropriate OSHA card as defined by the Nevada Revised Statute (NRS 618.950).
• Must possess and maintain a valid Nevada or "border state" driver’s license, as defined by NRS 483.
• Must obtain and maintain City Forklift Certification within thirty (30) days of hire as a condition of continued employment.
• Employee will be expected to complete assigned training courses through the City of Henderson's learning management system.

Responsibilities

• Performs manual labor tasks related to routine maintenance and repair of water, sewer, and utility facilities.
• Assists with general warehouse and inventory tasks.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
