City of Henderson is seeking a part-time Utility Maintenance Aide for Wastewater Operations. The 19-hour-per-week role supports maintenance, building and equipment upkeep, and warehouse tasks. Candidate must enroll in ARS and obtain NVWEA certifications within one year.

Training will be provided through the City’s LMS; schedule may include evenings/weekends. This position does not include benefits or PT/PERS eligibility.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or the equivalent.
• 1 year of full-time work experience in maintenance of mechanical equipment, pumps, valves, piping, and/or buildings or related experience.
• Equivalent combination of related education, experience, and training may be considered.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Nevada or “border state” driver’s license, as defined by NRS 483.
• Must obtain NVWEA Restricted Grade I Wastewater Operator Certification within one year of hire.
• Must obtain NVWEA Restricted Grade I Plant Maintenance Technologist Certification within one year of hire.
• Employee will complete assigned training courses through City of Henderson's learning management system.

Responsabilités

• Perform manual labor tasks for routine maintenance and repair of water, sewer, and utility facilities.
• Assist with general warehouse and inventory tasks.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
