Job summary

City of Casa Grande seeks a part-time Cashier/Customer Service Associate for the Landfill division. Under close supervision, you will assist with cash handling, customer service, and clerical tasks related to revenue transactions.

The position is 19 hours or fewer per week, not eligible for City-paid health benefits. Typical schedule includes Saturdays and Mondays from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with responsibilities including deposits, invoicing, and data entry.

Qualifications

• One year of cashiering or related experience.
• High speed data entry familiarity with computerized equipment and customer service.
• Some clerical and basic accounting tasks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and explain landfill services and fees; assist with new services.
• Handle cash, balance drawer, and prepare deposits/daily reconciliations.
• Perform clerical duties like filing, data entry, and maintaining logs and records.
• Operate computer for transactions, enter waste materials and tonnage data; direct unloading areas.
• Open/close scale house functions; check vehicles for materials; prepare paperwork for loads.
• Assist with researching municipal billing and account information for payments.
