Job summary

Wegmans Food Markets is seeking a Warehouse Selector to support our distribution team. You will accurately select products for Wegmans stores, emphasizing attention to detail and teamwork to ensure timely, correct deliveries.

You will work overnight, four 10-hour shifts per week, and use pallet jacks, forklifts, and Vocollect to assemble pallets, conduct audits, and uphold strict quality and safety standards across cold and ambient loads.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and teamwork are required.
• Familiarity with pallet handling equipment preferred.
• Ability to perform audits and maintain quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Build pallets safely and efficiently to minimize damage and maximize trailer space.
• Operate required equipment including pallet jack, forklift, and Vocollect.
• Perform order audits for accuracy and quality.
• Maintain knowledge of product quality standards and requirements.
• Inform management of daily quality issues via reports and communications.
• Maintain cold chain integrity for temperature-controlled loads.
• Lift up to 25 lbs regularly, with heavier lifts occasionally.

Job description

As a warehouse selector on our distribution team, you’ll help deliver exceptional service by accurately and efficiently selecting products for Wegmans stores, using your attention to detail and teamwork skills to ensure success.

Work schedule:

Overnight positions consist of four 10-hour shifts per week

What You'll Do

• Ensure pallets of product are built safely and efficiently in a manner that minimizes product damage in transportation and maximizes trailer space
• Safely operate equipment necessary to perform job duties; this may include a forklift, pallet jack, and/or Vocollect
• Perform order audits to determine accuracy and quality
• Maintain knowledge of all quality standards/specifications and requirements for all products
• Inform operations management of daily quality issues using reports as well as other forms of necessary communication
• Maintain the integrity of the cold chain on loads that have temperature requirements
• May work in and have exposure to cold temperatures; lift weight of 20-25 pounds on average with maximum weight lifted greater than 50 pounds occasionally to frequently

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience with operating a pallet jack, forklift, and Vocollect

Frozen positions earn an extra $2.00/hour
