Job summary

Fastenal Co. is seeking a Part-time Warehouse Associate at our Madison, WI location. The role involves handling inventory, receiving, picking, packaging, shipping, and cycle counting, with local deliveries as needed.

Work hours are 10-28 per week across Mon-Fri, with potential flexible scheduling after onboarding and performance goals. The ideal candidate is at least 18, holds a valid driver’s license, has strong communication and computer skills, and can multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older due to the nature of work.
• Possess a current full valid driver's license with ability to meet driving record requirements for company vehicle use.
• Proficient written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
• Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities.
• Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and strong sense of urgency.
• Work independently as well as in a team environment.

• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages weighing 25lbs-50lbs up to 75lbs.
• Pass the required drug screen where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Managing and maintaining branch inventory.
• Receiving, picking, packaging, shipping, and cycle counting inventory.
• Making local deliveries with a company vehicle as necessary.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Performing other duties as needed to ensure branch success.
