Job summary

Cape Electrical Supply in Missouri is seeking a Warehouse Worker/Delivery Driver for our Poplar Bluff location. You will receive, store, pick, pack, and distribute inventory and may perform delivery duties to ensure orders reach customers on time.

Shifts Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 1:00pm, with a starting wage of $15.00 per hour, depending on experience. Essential duties include lifting, operating light equipment, unloading trucks, and maintaining a safe, organized warehouse.

Qualifications

• Physical requirements to lift and move inventory.
• Operate warehouse equipment per manufacturers’ instructions.
• Maintain an orderly, clean warehouse and follow safety procedures.
• Unload delivery vehicles and identify material.
• Store product in proper locations and prepare orders.
• May perform delivery duties and light assembly as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lift and move inventory; operate and maneuver warehouse equipment safely.
• Unload trucks, identify materials, and note discrepancies.
• Pack customer orders accurately and store them correctly.
• Deliver orders in a light van when required; assemble items as needed.

Overview

Receive, store, select, pack, and distribute warehouse inventory. Delivery Driver Responsibilities will be required for this role as well.

Typical Functions

• Perform any and all physical requirements necessary to lift and move inventory around the warehouse.
• Operate and maneuver warehouse equipment and any material(s) contained thereon in the manner consistent with the intended purpose of the equipment and the manufacturers’ instructions.
• Maintain the warehouse in an orderly and clean state; follow all Company safety procedures; perform daily safety inspections.
• Unload delivery vehicles, accurately identifying material, breaking down material, and noting discrepancies.
• Accurately store product to the proper location following the outlined process; the use of light equipment may be required.
• Select and pack customer orders following the outlined process; ensure conformance to customer standards and expectations.
• May perform Delivery Driver duties as needed; operate a light van or delivery vehicle to deliver customer orders; ensure that customers orders are delivered to meet customer expectations.
• May perform assembly duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED

Compensation Details

The expected pay rate for this position is starting at $15.00 per hour depending on experience.

Additional Information

• Steel toed boots required.
• Class E license required and must pass DOT medical exam.
