Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required and Texas SPED certification.
• 60 clock hours of in-service training including job development and placement.
• Experience coordinating support for students with disabilities in vocational settings.
• Ability to coordinate with outside agencies and community organizations.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and coordinate prevocational and vocational subjects for students preparing for school-to-career programs.
• Develop transition plans and programs to reinforce strengths and reduce challenges.
• Prepare ARD meeting documents and participate in meetings.
• Investigate and utilize community resources for job training stations.
• Develop community or schoolwork stations and coordinate in-school programs.
• Work with Texas Workforce Solutions to secure services during and after high school.
• Monitor student progress and adapt strategies to individual needs.
• Collaborate with counselors on scheduling and transitions.
