Qualifications

• Completion of 27 graduate quarter hours in Agriculture, Horticulture or a field relevant to course(s) taught; OR a master’s degree in another field and a minimum of 27 graduate quarter (or 18 semester) hours in the primary field to be taught; or equivalency.
• Provisional: bachelor’s degree plus 27 graduate quarter hours IN active pursuit of master’s degree or doctorate; provisional teaching allowed.
• Career Technical Courses: two years of work experience in an occupational area, or four years of experience in an occupational area.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop materials for classes utilizing approved course outcomes in various teaching modalities.
• Complete administrative tasks: assign/grade work, communicate with students, report outcomes, maintain records, follow college policies.
• Keep abreast of developments in subject area and educational technology; pursue professional improvement.
• Establish and maintain opportunities for out-of-class contact with students.
• Ensure equipment is used safely and accounted for after sessions.
• Promote the college mission and connect students to support services; foster equity and inclusivity.
• Interact with diverse staff and participate in meetings as assigned.

Education
