Job summary

Visionworks of America seeks an OD Tech/Optometric Assistant to join our part-time team in Evansville, IN. You will be the face of our exam practice, guiding patients through preliminary testing, eye health basics and product recommendations with a friendly, human approach.

The role supports the exam lane, handles patient records, and helps with store operations such as restocking and answering phones. HS diploma required; customer experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Related customer or patient experience preferred.
• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducing preliminary testing
• Introduce patient to OD and provide OD with important patient information
• Transition patient from doctor to sales floor and provide associates necessary information to educate and recommend products and services that meet their eye care needs
• Execute day-to-day operational activities to support the store's exam lane maintenance and patient experience goals including: restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones to meet additional patient needs
• Will open/close the store/office to support business as needed
