Job summary

Visionworks in Hendersonville, TN is seeking an OD Tech/Optometric Assistant to be the face of our eye care practice. This part-time role focuses on greeting patients, performing preliminary testing, and guiding them through the exam journey with a friendly, human approach.

You will assist with records, introduce patients to the OD, support sales on eyewear, restock, clean equipment, answer phones, and help open/close the store as needed.

Qualifications

• Related customer or patient experience preferred, but not necessary.
• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducing preliminary testing.
• Introduce patient to OD and provide OD with important patient information.
• Transition patient from doctor to sales floor and educate on products and services that meet eye care needs.
• Execute day-to-day operational activities to support the store's exam lane maintenance and patient experience goals including restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones.
• Will open/close the store/office to support business as needed.
