Job summary

Visionworks in Spring Hill, TN is seeking a part-time OD Tech/Optometric Assistant to be the face of our exam practice. You will support the eye care journey, perform preliminary testing, and help guide patients from exam to product choices in a friendly, human, and bold way.

You will welcome patients, manage records, assist OD, and handle routine store operations to ensure a smooth patient experience. Experience is helpful but not required; HS diploma or GED is expected.

Qualifications

• Related customer or patient experience preferred, but not necessary.
• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducting preliminary testing.
• Introduce patient to OD and provide OD with important patient information.
• Transition patient from doctor to sales floor and educate on products and services to meet eye care needs.
• Execute day-to-day operational activities to support the store's exam lane maintenance and patient experience goals, including restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones.
• Open/close the store/office to support business as needed.
