Job summary

LearnWell is seeking a passionate and creative virtual teacher to support child and adolescent students in behavioral health facilities nationwide. The role is remote, delivering instruction to a small classroom and 1:1 sessions during the school year.

You will plan daily lessons, provide individualized assistance, and regularly report student progress while monitoring teaching strategies to ensure success. Typical class sizes range 10–15 students.

Qualifications

• B.A/B.S. degree from an accredited institution.
• West Virginia State teaching license.
• Comfortable working with K-12 students.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs.
• Reliable Internet.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver daily lesson plans.
• Provide individualized assistance to students.
• Regularly communicate about student progress.
• Monitor and adjust teaching strategies for student success.
• Maintain attendance and session reports.
• Handle class sizes of 10–15 students.
• Work Monday–Friday mornings with at least 7.5 hours per week and potential for extra hours.

For more than 26 years, we have provided on-site educational services in hospitals, helping these school-age patients continue their education during treatment and reintegrate successfully into the classroom. Currently, we are seeking a passionate and creative virtual teacher to join our team for the school year. This unique position will involve working remotely, providing academic support to child and adolescent school-age patients in a small classroom and 1:1 setting as they receive treatment in behavioral health facilities.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to plan and deliver daily lesson plans, provide individualized assistance to students, and regularly communicate about student progress as needed. Additionally, you will monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success and maintain accurate attendance and session reports. Most of our class sizes range from 10-15 school-age patients at any one time.

Position schedule is Monday-Friday in the mornings.This position will be at least 7.5 hours per week with the potential to add on extra hours.
