Job summary

PetVet Care Centers Midtown in Memphis, Tennessee is seeking a Part-Time Care Coordinator to join our full-service veterinary hospital. This role provides administrative and customer service support, assisting the hospital team to deliver superior care and exceptional service to pets and their families.

Schedule: Part-Time, Monday–Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM with some weekends, depending on hospital needs. We value compassion, teamwork, and professional growth, and offer a supportive environment

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new software.
• Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.

• Ability to remain calm and compassionate during stressful or emotional situations.
• Comfortable working around dogs and cats.
• Willingness to learn veterinary terminology and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service in-person, over the phone, and during high-stress situations.
• Manages lobby flow, addresses concerns, calms distressed owners, and schedules appointments.
• Handles basic medical emergencies for pets and owners, ensuring safety and well-being.
• Assists with medication pickups, inquiries, and provides information about services and products.
• Inputs and manages data in practice management software, including billing.
• Assists with retail sales, weighing pets, processing faxes, and maintaining records.
• Reconciles cash drawer and performs end-of-day duties for accurate financial transactions.
