Veterinary Urgent Care Center Braintree is seeking a part-time Veterinary Assistant to join our fast-paced team in Braintree, MA. You will assist in urgent care for small animals, support doctors, and help with diagnostics and daily procedures.

We offer competitive hourly pay ($21–$24) and a schedule that covers 7 days per week with extended hours. Build hands-on veterinary skills while growing within a national network that supports advancement and mentorship.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Calm and efficient approach in fast-paced environment.
• Ability to handle pets of all sizes and temperaments.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in basic veterinary skills in lab, pharmacy, nursing and radiology is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely restraining patients for exams and procedures
• Cleaning and maintaining treatment areas
• Turning over and cleaning surgical suites
• Assisting Veterinary Technicians with daily patient care
• Running in-house bloodwork and other diagnostics
• Setting up rooms and procedures
• Preparing equipment and supplies
• Answering phones and responding to emails
• Assisting with patient care and recovery
• Supporting the team wherever needed throughout the day
