Job summary

Livingston County in Howell, MI seeks a part-time Veterans Services Driver to provide safe and efficient transportation for Veterans using county vehicles, including buses and vans. You will assist passengers and ensure comfort and safety during trips to destinations in and around the county.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must obtain MDOT Chauffeur License within 10 days of employment and CPR training within six months.
• Knowledge of safe driving and customer service.
• Able to read maps and operate department software.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Transport Veterans via county vehicles to various locations.
• Maintain a log of trips and passenger counts.
• Operate chairlift and secure passengers.
• Conduct vehicle pre- and post-inspections per MDOT requirements.
• Fuel, clean and perform basic vehicle maintenance.
• Document incidents and vehicle damage as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
