Job summary

Livingston County is seeking a Driver/Porter for the Livingston Essential Transportation Service (L.E.T.S.). Under the Director of Transportation Services, you will transport county vehicles to maintenance sites, perform basic troubleshooting, and may serve as a driver for special runs and passenger transport within the county and surrounding areas.

Requires a Michigan Driver's License with Chauffeur designation, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to pass a MDOT physical and drug

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Michigan Driver's License with Chauffeur designation.
• Must pass MDOT physical and drug screen before employment.
• Knowledge of safe driving techniques and customer service for transporting citizens.
• Experience with basic math, receipts, and daily log reports helpful.

Responsibilities

• Transport vehicles, buses, and parts to maintenance facilities.
• Fuel and clean vehicles as needed.
• Maintain garage and work areas in a clean, functional condition.
• May drive to fill shift shortages or special events and assist passengers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
