Job summary

Volunteers of America Colorado is seeking a Part-time Case Manager for the Durango Community Shelter to support homeless veterans. You will assess eligibility, conduct intakes, coordinate housing and services, and provide crisis intervention with clients in a collaborative, community-based setting.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree or equivalent and at least one year of direct experience with vulnerable populations; valid automobile and Colorado insurance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in a related area.
• Experience with vulnerable populations is preferred.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Assess eligibility and conduct intakes for veterans in the Grant Per Diem program.
• Coordinate services and provide case management for homeless veteran participants.
• Provide crisis intervention and link to housing resources.
• Work with VA to determine eligibility, benefits and support services.
• Develop life skills programs and educational activities for participants.
• Maintain case notes and timely communication with program staff.
